We like to make fun of Netflix for releasing a lot of bad movies (have you seen The Royal Cure? Wow, boy), but the truth is that Netflix also makes a lot of good movies.
Over the past few months, the streaming service has released two very different films that have been nominated for Best Picture Oscars: the stern indie drama The Power of the Dog and the vicious star satire Don't Look Up.
And the best movies on Netflix include smaller films like the recently released crime documentary The Tinder Swindler, a gripping tale of an Israeli con man.
We look forward to evening more good films in the next few weeks, such as the Thai action movie A Fistful of Vengeance and the Danish adventure film Against the Ice, written by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau from Game of Thrones and starring.
This is a list of the best movies to watch on Netflix right now. To stay relevant, we're specifically highlighting the best recent releases (whether they're new to the world or just Netflix), Netflix originals, and some of our personal favorites.
We also have a list of the best TV shows on Netflix, as well as recommendations for Amazon Prime Video (movies/shows), Hulu (movies/shows), Disney+ (movies/shows), HBO Max, Apple TV+, and Peacock.
